To the south is an expanding business / restaurant district at 23 Mile Road and Hayes anchored by the Kroger Superstore and Emagine Theater. Further south is an abundance of shopping and restaurants lining Hall Road (20 Mile), the main connector between the I-94 and I-75 freeways.

To the north, the hustle and bustle of the city dims as subdivisions give way to farmland. A short drive to the M-53 highway at 26 Mile makes for a quick trip to Romeo or Almont. Cider mills and golf courses replace shopping malls and strip malls.
